RIDDICK

RIDDICK

This blue-eyed beauty was recently rescued from the APA. Before you ask, no he was not named after The Chronicles of Riddick. His namesake comes from a treasured member of the Sarchione Family. Sarchione Chevrolet in Randolph, OH has been a generous supporter of the DFOB mission for many years now. We are so grateful to have them in our DFOB Family.

Riddick is flying through his assessments in his Heel Work and Guest Greetings. He’s also picking up Tug and Push like a champion, opening and closing the fridge door beautifully. He is one assessment away from moving onto Phase 2 of his training! Right now he’s learning how to turn Lights on and off, to Send Items to another person, and to Go Get Help. He particularly loves Go Get Help and thinks of it as a really fun exercise/game and will even bring the leash to you.

He loves his games of tug, affection and of course, treats. He’s really attached to his Primary Trainer and works extra hard for her, as they’ve built an incredible bond. His Primary Trainer has no doubt that his trust and love will transfer over to his future veteran in a powerful way. Once he knows you will protect him, he is all about taking care of you. Gaining his trust and love is a great gift and he returns it tenfold with his willingness to work, his kisses, and the comfort he provides. He is going to be a fantastic fit for one honorable veteran. Without any hesitation, we can say that he’s the perfect fit for a veteran looking for skills, a better life and comfort.

Meet Riddick's primary trainer, Carrie.
